For account cancellations and refunds, most requests are going to be account specific so you need to contact our customer support team. You can check out our refund policy to review if your product/services may be eligible for a refund with cancellation: https://www.godaddy.com/agreements/showdoc.aspx?pageid=19963&prog_id=PROG_ID

Our customer support teams are great at helping you determine if we can help resolve an issue with a product or helping you review your account for cancellation and refund eligibility. By contacting our live support teams they can give you more details to help you with the specific accounts and charges in your account. You can find the best number in your local area by going to https://www.godaddy.com/contact-us.aspx

We’re unable to issue refunds on behalf of customers through Community.

I, too, am wondering how to go about getting a refund. I registered a couple of domains in .com, .org, and .net and got the hosting, privacy guard...the whole shabang. Well, I never got around to do anything with those domains and I figured it's my own fault I paid for these package services and basically forgot about them. I ignored the renewal emails as the .org and .net expired. I had used a "shop safe" credit card number, generated specifically for my initial transaction. It had long since expired, and I received several emails from GD to update my payment information. I ignored those emails as well.

So yesterday I received an alert from my bank that GD had made charges of $100.64 on my credit card. Since they never had my permanent credit card number (at least not from me), how were they able to do that? In fact, there was TWO charges. One from DNH GODADDY.COM and another from GODADDY.COM. They charged me, possibly twice, for renewing the two .COM domains. I thought the regular registration fee was only $14.99, so shouldn't the total charge be around $30?

So this morning I was researching how to transfer these two .COM domain names to another service provider and I find it's quite complicated. DG's customer service chat is off.

Ug.

Hello @robby,

Welcome to GoDaddy Community. Sorry to hear you've had an unwanted service renewal. It sounds like there may have been more than just domains in that renewal. Though, it would be best if you reach out to our support team. They should be able to tell you exactly what happened. If you find chat offline, you can reach them 24/7 at the numbers listed here: https://www.godaddy.com/contact-us.aspx?ci=

just cancelled my gd account too.      I've been with them a long time and was just using it as a band website.    Wanted over $300 dollars to keep my old service.      I'm not selling anything just using it to let people that are interested know where we are playing!           Gotta go find someplace else...      thanks godaddy

I didn't canceled my hosting, but i received an email that

Thank you so much for giving GoDaddy's VPS Hosting a try. I am truly sorry to hear that you didn't love it.
I have a quick question that I hope you'll answer to help us make GoDaddy hosting better:

What made you cancel?

Just reply to this email and let me know. I'd really appreciate it.

I even replied on above email in next minutes after receiving the email but didn't get reply

PLease Put my VPS hosting back in my account so i can renew it. I am unable to call you. Please call me on the given number if you need any clarification.

Please push it back on priority
