Hosting Prompt after Domain Purchase

Hi,

I just bought a domain name for my blogger blog and the next page that appeared was building a web. Do I really need. I just need a domain name for my blog.

Thank you for your private message - I'm replying here so everyone can see - you do not need to check the box for the free Websites + Marketing site. You do not need to recreate anything.

 

Once you purchase your domain. In Blogger you will edit the settings to "link" the domain to your account. Blogger will provide you some IP addresses. You will then go into GoDaddy and add the IP records and other DNS entries and then you should be good to go.

 

Make sure to remove the default @ record when you add the new ones.

You can safely uncheck that and  you can decide if you want the basic or advanced domain privacy.

 

Once you've purchased your domain, then you just need to setup the DNS per the blogger instructions and you will be good to go.
