Its know that it's not possible to use custom SMTP settings with GoDaddy shared hosting plans. You would need to either use the provided relay server to send mail, or switch your hosting to a VPS or Dedicated Server.
But now there is one more category offered by GoDaddy for hosting plans - Business Hosting.
My question is - Can you use external SMTP mail server with Business Hosting Plans or not.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Business hosting is not a VPS or Dedicated server, it follows the same details as the cPanel hosting.
Thanks for the clarification.
It ends the hope to use G-suite for email on GoDaddy shared hosting.
Its sad. I would love to have best of both the worlds. (GoDaddy hosting with G-suite mail).
The problem is the emails sent by GoDaddy (business/professional mail) are often considered as spam by gmail saying that the sender is in spammer list.
Anyways
No cheers.
Is it possible with new Business Hosting plans offered by you ?

Hi @IshantDave, thanks for posting.
If you are trying to send email from your hosting plan or website, you cannot use an external SMTP server. Emails must be sent through the relay server for your hosting plan. Details on what server details to use to send emails can be found here:
https://www.godaddy.com/help/what-is-the-name-of-my-hosting-accounts-relay-server-953
Please see the below communication.
It says that you need VPS or dedicated server plan. Does the new Business Hosting Account as I mentioned originally fall under either category. Because it was not offered when this solution was provided.

You can still use G-suite for your standard email for your domain name.
The only restriction is that you cannot send email directly from the hosting plans, using Google's email servers. For example, if you have a contact form on your website, you cannot send those emails from that contact form using Google's mail servers.
However, you can still configure your domain name to use Google's MX records, and send email normally.
