Pointing nameserver to vps ip not work after 48 hours

You do not point the nameserver to the IP of the VPS (or site). You point your nameservers to a nameserver host such as Godaddy, and then create the necessary A records (at the nameserver/Godaddy) to point your domain to your VPS' IP.

First you may need to set your nameservers back to Default at Godaddy, and then this article should help:

You mean register host name with ip not enough
or I may need to set your nameservers back to Default at Godaddy also

I think this link will take care of your issue: https://www.godaddy.com/help/add-an-a-record-19238

Thank you very much MichaelM
Nice to meet you

Hi, this article URL no longer works. Can you give me a current URL for this issue?

FYI: For a website - you will be pointing the "parent" A record (@) to your IP.

You will be more than likely pointing the (www) A record to this IP as well - or using a CNAME to redirect it to the parent.
