This may be a simple system glitch or they may have changed the way renewals are done. I would advise contacting support for further information regarding this in particular.

I snapped screenshots of the issue, contacted Godaddy tech support, of course initial POC knew nothing, but they accepted the issue, received the screenshots, and promised to get back to me. We'll see....
