365 forwarded email to GMail changes "from" field to my domain name

I am forwarding my email to my GMail account.


In Gmail the "from" field is now only showing my domain name for most emails, rendering my filtering usless; I now have 100 emails from  

 I have spent an hour yesterday and today with support to be told various things, effectively "there is no solution".


 I am told Godaddy no longer has POP3 accounts because "that's old technology", is this actually true?  It would seem I should be able to point my GMail account to a pop3 server and have the sender field pass through - as I've had for the past decade or more.


 Does anyone have a solution to this?
