Unable to access Microsoft 365 Admin Portal

Is the Microsoft 365 Admin Portal still a thing? I used it all day yesterday. I am now being redirected to https://productivity.godaddy.com/settings#/ everytime I try to attempt to go to https://admin.microsoft.com/.

Hello Everyone. Sorry for the delayed response. I reached out to our product team about this so we could give you the most accurate information. Here is what is currently happening with Office 365 specific to accessing the typical Microsoft admin area (OAC or Office Admin Center).

Some customers that use Office 365 through GoDaddy are hosted on a different version of the platform than others. Both of these platforms are provided by and managed by Microsoft. There are currently two types:

  • Syndication: This platform allowed customers to access OAC AND Partner admin centers (ie. the control panel within a GoDaddy account).
  • CSP (Cloud Solution Provider): This platform only allows either OAC OR a Partner admin center.

Microsoft is retiring the Syndication platform and has asked all partners to move their customers over to CSP. With the way our system is currently built out for CSP, customers have access to the Partner (GoDaddy) version of admin. However, we plan on changing this so that customers on CSP can manage their account through OAC instead. This will take time, but it is our top priority for the product.

I'm not sure why this change wasn't communicated proactively or why our GoDaddy Guides were not able to provide you with this information, but this is why it seems like access has suddenly been changed for you. I apologize for any confusion.

While I do not have a time frame for when access through OAC will be available, our Office 365 team would be happy to take your feedback in regard to options you're trying to access that are not currently available. The most used admin features should be available within your account in the Productivity Center within the Office 365 Admin drop down menu.

We are experiencing the same thing. As usual, calling in did absolutely no good. After 20 minutes I was transferred to our rep who was in a hurry out the door. He knew nothing about this and mentioned he was going to forward the information to a product manager. This system is completely broken without the admin panel. I have been unable to manage sharepoint groups and permissions. I certainly don't appreciate that they change things like this with out notice.

Same thing is happening today.

AND WHAT IS GOING ON WITH GODADDY SUPPORT !!

They used to be great. Now it feels as though the company has eviscerated the support staff. The wait times are impossible, and even when you do get someone it seems as though they are pretty clueless. This used to be one of the real advantages for GoDaddy.

I'm experiencing the same thing as well. You can access some of the admin pages directly, see links below.

azure: https://portal.azure.com/

exchange: https://outlook.office365.com/ecp

sharepoint: https://admin.microsoft.com/sharepoint?page=home&modern=true

security and compliance: https://protection.office.com/homepage

If I go to the IP address of the admin page it gives me this:

Our services aren't available right now

We're working to restore all services as soon as possible. Please check back soon.<

so thinking this is a temporary issue.

(e.g. admin.microsoft.com ip is showing 13.107.7.190)

http://13.107.7.190

This is not temporary.

As usual, very late responses and no useful info from these people. This was the last message I received yesterday early in the morning from my "rep" who refuses to return my call. This problem surfaced early last week.

"I am still waiting for an official response. They verbally explained that the process is not reversible. They have a work around coming but no date when that will be available."

I'm thinking it is time to research how much of a undertaking it is going to be to move all of this to MS and cancel all GD services.

This came less than a week after I sent them $14k for renewal after the "we are raising our prices email"

Yes. This is a huge problem for our organization too. Disappointed to say the least. We will be forced to migrate to O365 if GD cannot resolve.
