Connecting to mySQL database

Last month my site was moved to a Plesk environment.  I have 4 mySQL databases.  I seem to be having problems seeing the updates I make to the databases.  If I go into phpmyadmin I see the updates but if I query the database I cannot see the updates.  I suspect that the connection statement I use points towards a copy of the database in the old environment.  The connection statement I use is:

$database['hostname'] = 'TEHSDocuments.db.10616242.hostedresource.com';

I cannot find any way of checking whether this is still the correct hostname.

Mike

Re: . I tried:Re: Connecting to mySQL database

Today I went back to looking for help documents, using different keywords than last time, and I did find the page on Host Naming.  Following the instructions solved the problem.

I would try using either localhost or look at the URL of phpMyAdmin should give you the correct host as well.

. I tried:Re: Connecting to mySQL database

No luck. I tried

$database['hostname'] = 'localhost';

$database['hostname'] = 'https://p3nwvpweb165.shr.prod.phx3.secureserver.net:8443';

$database['hostname'] = 'https://p3nwvpweb165.shr.prod.phx3.secureserver.net:8443/domains/databases/phpMyAdmin/index.php?db=T...';

$database['hostname'] = 'https://p3nwvpweb165.shr.prod.phx3.secureserver.net:8443/domains/databases/TEHSDocuments';

None of them connected to a database.
