[ERR_TLS_CERT_ALTNAME_INVALID]: Hostname/IP does not match certificate's altnames:

My domain has a valid SSL certificate issued by godaddy. When I try to connect to the STMPS server with nodemailer on node it keeps giving me an error:

Error [ERR_TLS_CERT_ALTNAME_INVALID]: Hostname/IP does not match certificate's altnames: Host: domain name. is not in the cert's altnames: DNS:dns DNS:dns

I don't want to set rejectUnauthorized to false, because I know that the certificate wasn't self sign or invalid.

Hello @bens009 and thank you for reaching out to the GoDaddy community.

Have you checked out this GoDaddy article about making changes to your cert for the domain name?
