Can I still use my old version of Outlook or Office?
Yes, you can still use your existing version of Outlook if it's compatible with Microsoft 365.
Starting November 1, 2021, Microsoft 365 services are no longer supported in some versions of Outlook for Windows. The following versions of Outlook are no longer supported:
- Outlook 2007
- Outlook 2010 (phase out begins January, 2022)
- Outlook 2013 (versions prior to 15.0.4971.1000; all versions will be phased out by April 2023)
- Outlook 2016 (versions prior to 16.0.4600.1000)
If you're currently using Microsoft 365 email in these versions, update to the latest version to continue using Outlook on your Windows desktop. Find out more about the minimum version requirements for Outlook.
If you already have Office, you can still use it after the upgrade. You'll also have access to the Microsoft 365 features and software that are included with your plan.
