GoDaddy Poynt Smart Terminal Help

Connect a printer to a GoDaddy smart terminal

Every GoDaddy smart terminal includes a built-in printer, but you can also connect it to an external printer with a USB, network or Bluetooth connection. Make sure to test your printer once it’s connected to make sure it’s working properly.

Note: Accessories can be connected to the GoDaddy Smart Terminal Flex via wi-fi network connection only.
  1. Turn on the network printer. Your printer should print out its IP address after a delay of 10 seconds.

Note: If your printer does not print its IP address (or DHCP address) automatically, turn the printer off. Turn it on again and immediately hold the feed button for 2-3 seconds and the IP address should print.

  2. Tap Settings on the second page of the Smart Terminal home screen.
  3. Tap Accessory.
  4. On the Accessory Manager menu, tap Add network accessory.
  5. Tap Printer.
  6. Choose your printer model and tap Connect.
  7. Enter the IP address from step 1 and tap Confirm.
  8. Select Test printer to print a test receipt.
  1. Plug your USB cord into the GoDaddy Poynt Smart Terminal dock and then connect it to your printer.
  2. On your smart terminal home screen, the printer will show as Connected.
  3. Select Test printer to print a test receipt.

Note: The Smart Terminal must remain in the dock while using your USB printer in order to successfully connect.

  1. Tap Settings on the second page of the smart terminal home screen.
  2. Tap Accessory.
  3. On the Accessory Manager menu, tap Find new accessories.
  4. When you are prompted to enable Bluetooth, tap Yes.
  5. Tap printer or tap your accessory type and tap Connect.
  6. Select Test printer to print a test receipt.

Once you’ve connected your printer, print a test receipt to make sure it’s working properly.

  1. Tap Settings on the second page of the smart terminal home screen.
  2. Tap Accessory.
  3. Locate the printer you want to test and tap Test printer.

Manage your printers or external accessories directly from your smart terminal. The internal printer is used as your default printer but can be switched by updating your printer preferences.

  1. Tap Settings on the second page of the smart terminal home screen.
  2. Tap Accessory.
  3. Adjust any of the following options:
    • Add a new USB, network, or Bluetooth peripheral
    • Test peripherals
    • Use the toggles to turn peripherals on or off.
    • Remove peripherals

Note: Visit your Receipt Settings to adjust the way info displays on your receipt and choose which types of receipts print automatically.
